Things you might not know about Me

Birthplace: New York City, NY

Places I've Lived: Darien, CT; Charlottesville, VA; Jackson Hole, WY; Missoula, MT; Innsbruck, Austria; Washington DC

Education/Training: University of Virginia; Georgetown University

Why OB/GYN? I fell in love with women's health while working as a registered nurse in Wyoming. My colleagues at the time encouraged me to become a Nurse Practitioner by my 30th birthday, so I moved to Washington DC and did just that!

Who Knew: I can make sushi. I meditate, but sometimes fall off of the wagon. I love scouring tag sales for deals and I am the oldest of three girls. I have a baby boy named Charlie – he was born a day after my birthday and delivered by Bloom's Dr. Loveland!

Travel Memories: Ice climbing with Dr. Osmun in Alaska, climbing to the top of the Grand Teton (elevation 13,776ft!), and eating my way through Rome with my husband.

Someday I plan to go to: Greece - I adore feta and tzatziki! I would love to visit and hike Glacier National Park in Montana and Banff in Canada with my son and husband.

These are some things I do in my spare time: Walking with my son Charlie on the Capitol Crescent trail, practicing any and all forms of yoga, and cooking.

A really big accomplishment: I received my 200-hour power teacher training from Core Power Yoga and because of all those poses I had an easy labor with my son. I pushed him out in less than thirty minutes...namaste!

Favorite Book: As a child, The Great Gatsby. Recently, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah and I Am Pilgrim by Terry Hayes.

Favorite TV Show: Food Network's “Barefoot Contessa”, “Homeland”, and “Shark Tank”

Favorite Words: satiated, breathe

Favorite Food: Mediterranean fare, kale, sushi, and definitely not black licorice!
